P.S. Here are what some of our travellers have to say:

Words can’t even begin to describe my experience with your GPS. I am enjoying myself making use of it and even getting to know it better.” Jessica M (GM of Don Suites Sea Point)

The gadget is awesome – learnt a lot about Cape Town as well as the Winelands (lots of laughs on some of these as well).  One of the aspects that I found fantastic is that it is not the same voice and keeps the trip interesting (not like an ordinary tour guide with the same boring tone).” Johan

I must tell you that I thoroughly enjoyed the GreatGuide on my way home from work today and to work this morning. I enjoyed it so much, that I passed it on to Anders Ellqvist, a Swedish journalist I’m assisting during his stay in Cape Town.” Nicole Moody PR and Communications Manager Cape Town Tourism

We did enjoy the my itinerary and looked for hotspots and that worked out wonderful. ………. The navigator worked out fine, makes life much easier” –Debbie -OAD

P.P.S. Here are what some of our marketing partners have to say:

We are delighted that after 18 months of preparations, we finally have a tourist friendly GPS unit that is fully functional and ready to go.

One of the problems with a traditional GPS, is that many of the hotels and properties in South Africa do not have a physical street address – prime examples being game reserves or of the Battlefield lodges – and surprisingly, many of the Garden Route hotels that are not in town directly, such as Hunters, Kurland, Hog Hollow, Emily Moon etc. While we were keen to provide all our clients with a GPS unit, the fact that so many options en route could not be entered sufficiently meant that it was as good as useless.

This lead to a collaboration with The GreatGuide Company, who took a list of 750 of our top properties and loaded the GPS co ordinates into a GPS system and as a result have been able to provide us with very accurate directions to all properties on a pax’s itinerary.” New Frontiers

While our driving directions are as accurate as possible, and are checked three times before being issued, they can be affected by changes such as new road names (Durban alone has undergone 130 road name changes in the recent years as previous Apartheid era names are replaced by newly democratic ones) and in rural areas especially, a scarcity of road signage, which does make this unit the most accurate self drive facility available.”

P.P.P.S – if you are wanting to go to a game farm or lodge – and you found that A traditional GPS could not navigate to you there – we can, please drop us a mail and we will tell you more.

GreatGuide is for guidance purposes only since roads and locations might change from time to time.
